I must agree with the previous statement, indeed not everything in gaming depends on luck. Let me tell you a story. I personally treat poker as a hobby, but recently it became my central passion. However, I had to realize that my poker skills are not so great after all. My dear friend, David, whom I know for so many years, has defeated me in my territory. That is why I had to learn new poker strategies and I have read quite a few books on the subject. Now my poker skills together with poker strategies have magnificently improved. Well, folks, rely on luck occasionally, but mainly improve yourself in all possible ways.

My poker experience begins with my childhood. In fact, for our family poker was a quality time. Yes, it is popular to play poker just for fun, but this is how it all has started. At first, my older siblings taught me the basic poker rules. Later on, we played for real money, and somehow I won most of the games. I should thank my big brother Carl for that, because he taught me how to bluff. Actually, in several tournaments I managed to win quite big cash only because I knew how to bluff correctly. May be Lady Luck helped me wining these tournaments, but poker knowledge is certainly not enough. You have to see the big picture: body language, differences between genders, eyes, behavior and most importantly you have to believe in yourself. May be I was the lucky winner, but I still have a few tricks at my sleeves.
