Rules of Let It Ride Poker

This page describes the game of Let It Ride poker and provides step-by-step instructions for playing the game.

What is Let It Ride Poker?

Let It Ride is a card game based on five card stud poker. It is generally played in casinos. The game is played in slow pace and allows players to pull back 2 of the 3 bets he has placed. Let It Ride is usually played by older people or by players new to card games.

How to Play:

In Let It Ride each player places three equal bets in the indicated spaces and receives three cards face down. All three cards must be kept in full view of the dealer during the game and can not be shown to other players. The dealer will also deal two additional face-down cards, called community cards. The goal of each player is to form the best five card hand out of his three cards and two community cards.

When all players receive and see their cards they can take back on of their three bets if they like. After everyone makes a decision whether he wants to take back one of the bets or leave them all, the dealer turns up one of the community cards. At this moment players can take back another bet, leaving the minimum of one bet placed.

When the second bet is taken or left, all players put their three card hands face down on the table and may not touch them anymore. The dealer turns up the second community card, and then, in clockwise directions, all cards of the players.

Let It Ride is not played against the house or other players. The final hands are paid according to the payout schedule that starts with two 10s and grows in accordance with standard poker hands ranking.

During the game players may not exchange information about their hands with each other, because knowing cards of other players may help to guess what community cards are.
