The Mirage Poker Showdown poker tournament at Mirage Hotel Las Vegas is the first stop on the World Poker Tour 2006. Thirteen gaming events will conclude the World Poker Tour Event. All main events will initiate at noon while final table play will begin later on the following day. Not limited entries are permitted, however, Heads Up event are limited to 128 entries.
What kind of gaming events are we talking about? To begin with, players will participate in daily satellite poker tournaments. All Super Satellites Tournaments will accommodate as many entries as possible for the Championship event. That is reasonable of course since champion receives 10.200 dollars entry into the may 14, 2006 Championship event. Another interesting episode is LIPS Tour Ladies. The winner of LIPS Tour Ladies will maintain a 1.500 dollars seat in the WTP. Super Satellites and LIPS Tour Ladies will be played down to 9 players.
The Mirage Poker Showdown Championship Tournament is primarily a Texas Holdem poker tournament. The Mirage Poker Showdown tournaments run from 9 to 26 of May. The winner of the 10.200 dollars buy-in Championship Tournament will not only get the prize money for that tournament, but his buy-in of 25.000 dollars to the World Poker Tour Championship at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas next April. Poker room staff will maintain three percent of the prize pool. The Mirage Poker Showdown management reserves the right to modify, suspend, o cancel this promotion at its sole discretion and without prior notice. All tournaments are subject to table availability.
