The World Poker Congress manifests in June 27-28, 2006. The City Conference Center of Stockholm will host the first conference integrating the online and offline aspects of the poker industry. The Congress will merge two sides, one devoted to the online issues and the other addressing concerns of the land-based matters to discuss the synergies and possibilities of the entire spectrum of the poker world.
Poker owns its recent popularity to two important elements: televising of live poker events and the growth of online poker rooms. I wonder what these two issues have in common. The answer is rather simple: new poker players. Research has clearly shown that players who learn to play poker online usually finalize in a live poker rooms, while online poker rooms find new players via the televised tournaments.
Online poker rooms are facing increasing competition at all levels. For that purpose, The World Poker Congress will highlight the strategies, products and services that will help any online poker room to stay at the top and to attract new players. Attendees will be able to meet with colleagues at two cocktail parties, continental breakfasts and networking breaks.
The World Poker Congress is the first conference exploring the cooperation between the live and online games. The conference will feature two paths dedicated to the different forms of the game, as well as general sessions featuring various topics. Colleagues will discuss issues such as poker room marketing, player development, legislation and economics in Europe and much more.
