Casino Express Airlines will perform its last flights the week. The company was owned by the late Tod McClaskey and it specialized in flying domestic tourists to Elko. Xtra Airlines purchased the company but the Elko program will not continue in the meantime.
The end of Casino Express flights is sad news for its managers, employees and its customers. McClaskey Holdings LLC and other five properties include the Red Lion and Gold Country Inn, where most of Casino Express guests stayed, High Desert Inn, Holiday Inn Express and the Thunderbird.
The passengers of the last flight of Casino Express arrived early in the morning from Lawton, Oklahoma, after the flight had a delay. They will fly back on Friday.
