the Father of 2 children was arrested after he left his kids in a car to go gamble in a local casino.
A security guard walking his rounds outside the Spa Resort and casino spotted the 2 kids walking around in the parking lot in front of the casino at approximately around two in the morning. The security guard, who was initially under the assumption that the kids were lost soon, discovered the truth. Their father had left them in the car around 11 pm with some fast food to eat and half a bottle of beer to drink. He then went into the casino and was in there for over 3 hours before the kids were discovered.
The security guard called the police and
child services. The police arrived and gave the kids to child services; they then went to find the father, who was found an hour latter sitting at a slot machine. Even after the police informed him that his children had been taken away from him he continued to play the slot machine.
The father was then arrested and will be charged with misdemeanor child abuse. At the time of the fathers arrest he was in possession of a fake Social Security card and will also face charges of felony possession of falsified documents the father a Chilean citizen could face deportation.
