"Annie Duke Takes On The World" poker show hits the road

"Annie Duke Takes On The World" poker show translation took place on the first of May on GSN channel. The plot of the show unveils the following scenario: four participants compete in No Limit Texas Holdem game, when the winner of the tournament meets face to face with Annie Duke, the host of the show, to pursuit a prize of 10.000 dollars. The humor in the program sometimes prevails of the constrained and prudent game. Comedy actor, Regan Burns, helps Annie transfer the message.

"Annie Duke Takes On The World" show has several disadvantages. First, show lasts only an hour, what prevents the audience to see entire tournament. A competition between the winner and the leader takes third of translation. The crowd see fragments of the game, in other words there is no sequential continuity. Because of this, bets increase sharply and inadequately. Either there was nothing interesting going on behind a table or bets grew in huge rate.

Annie helps to define, who leads the game. However, the spectator does not see exact data about the size of bets for each player. "Annie Duke Takes On The World" is entertaining and cheerful show, yet it remains poker competition. Therefore, it would be more convenient, if on the screen the spectator could see the exact figures of the size of game bank, stacks and rates.

Anyway, you should spend an hour or so for that bright and cheerful show. Except for humor, there is enough serious and intense poker competition. During the game, Annie gives rather professional and useful advices, which will be useful not only to beginning players, but also to experts on the business. Besides, you can observe, with what greed and passion Annie attacks behind a final table. If the management of the program will change the schedule of translation a little bit and eliminate the basic lacks, I bet the show will become one of the most popular poker shows.
