An online casino site paid 5,000 dollars of an image of the Virgen De Guadalupe in a tree. GoldenPalace.com is well known for it bizarre taste in eBay acquisitions, specializing in religious items such as the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich, now enriched its collection with another object.
The image of the Virgen De Guadalupe is placed on a live South Dallas tree since November 2005. It became a religious shrine surrounded by candles and bottles of holy waters and a popular destination of local believers. GoldenPalace CEO Richard Rowe said the company plans to continue supporting visitors to the tree.
It is not the first time that GoldenPalace came out with an outrageous campaign. In addition to items such as the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich, it also holds Britney Spears Pregnancy Test, and Pope Benedict XVIs Golf.
