'Big Game' Relocates to Venetian

New Venetian Poker Room in the Las Vegas strip to host the 'Big Game'

Even before its opening, the Venetian Poker Room has made a number of moves intent on making its presence felt on the Las Vegas strip. Nowadays, the 'Big Game', the number one game in town, changed its usual accommodation from Bellagio to Venetian. This does not necessarily mean that the Big Game is no longer played at Bellagio; however, it is interesting to note that the game that has been so closely tied to one place, which is Bellagio, has been relocated to another.

The 'Big Game' attracts only the biggest poker names together with ultimate publicity, that is why many poker rooms fight for the right to host that spectacular show. The Venetian has made a number of moves to attract the biggest players, and recently it has succeeded, as the Big Game has played there a few times recently.

The latest attempt to draw players into the Venetian poker room is a $500,000 Freeroll Tournament, which will occur on August 11th, 12th, and 13th. To qualify for the event, players have to play 50 rated hours a month for May, June, and July, or play 200 total rated hours before July 31. The Venetian also has a double point promotion, where players will get double their point in food credits for hours logged at the room.

Overall, the poker room at the Venetian is a very nice place to play poker. There are a whole lot of things planned for the future here, and it will be interesting to see how the room competes against established rooms like Bellagio in the ultra competitive environment of Las Vegas poker.
